Shipping to Europe from the US, Canada, Australia or the UK?
Primepack is an EU fulfillment center and 3PL in Gothenburg, Sweden, for e-commerce brands based outside the EU. You import your stock in bulk; we store it, pick and pack your orders and ship them to customers across the EU. The duty situation, freight route and time difference differ by market – pick yours.
From the United States
Stop shipping every European order across the Atlantic. Import once in bulk and deliver to EU customers without customs on every parcel.
For US brandsCanadaFrom Canada
Canadian-made goods can qualify for preferential EU duty under CETA. Stock them in Sweden and sell across the EU from one inventory.
For Canadian brandsAustraliaFrom Australia
The longest route to Europe is where local stock matters most. Ship in bulk by sea and sell across the EU without customs on every parcel.
For Australian brandsUnited KingdomFrom the United Kingdom
Since Brexit every parcel from Great Britain to an EU customer goes through customs. Hold stock inside the EU and ship to EU customers without it.
For UK brandsStill deciding which EU country your stock should sit in? Compare Sweden, the Netherlands and Germany.
Why use an EU fulfillment center?
An EU fulfillment center stores your stock inside the EU and ships your orders to EU customers from there. For a brand based outside the EU, that replaces customs on every parcel with customs on each bulk shipment – and gets orders to EU customers in days.
No customs on every parcel
Customs clearance happens per bulk shipment into Gothenburg, not per order. Orders to EU customers then ship from inside the EU: no customs on the way, no IOSS and no import charges for your customer at the door.
Delivery in days
Parcels from Gothenburg typically take 1–2 business days to the Nordic EU countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland), 2–3 to Germany and Benelux and 3–5 to the rest of the EU.
One stock for the EU – and beyond
Serve every EU member state from one inventory near the Port of Gothenburg, Sweden's largest port. Great Britain, Norway and Switzerland can be served from the same stock too; they are outside the EU customs union, so those shipments go through customs.
Returns stay in Europe
EU customers send returns to an address in Sweden, not back to your home country. We receive and inspect each one and restock the items that pass, so a return becomes sellable again.
Why shipping parcels one by one from outside the EU got harder
Since 1 July 2026
The customs duty exemption for parcels worth up to €150 has ended. Parcels sent straight to EU consumers from outside the EU now, as a rule, pay a temporary flat customs duty per item type – whatever VAT scheme the seller uses.
Due in late 2026
A per-item EU handling fee is due to start on goods sold directly to EU consumers from outside the EU.
From July 2028
Selling low-value parcels straight to EU consumers without IOSS will, as a rule, make the seller – not the customer – liable for the import VAT.
What changes when you import in bulk
Bulk stock follows the normal import rules instead, as long as it is genuinely imported and cleared before it is sold. Customs duty at your product's normal rate (which depends on its tariff code and origin) and import VAT are due when the bulk shipment clears, and the flat duty for low-value parcels does not apply. Orders you then ship from that stock to EU customers are not imports, so IOSS has no role in them.
One condition: it has to be genuine stock. Goods already sold to individual customers before import are treated as distance sales – even when they arrive in the same shipment.
How does EU fulfillment work?
Four steps from your supplier to a customer's door in the EU. The tax registrations are in your brand's name: selling from stock in Sweden normally means registering for VAT in Sweden, and brands from the US, Canada, Australia or the UK should plan for a VAT agent approved by the Swedish Tax Agency and confirm the setup with a tax advisor. We guide you through the VAT setup and can put you in touch with accounting partners. Before the goods ship, your brand also needs its own EU responsible person for product safety – an EU importer or an authorized representative with a written mandate.
Import in bulk
Send pallets or a full container to Gothenburg. We tell you which documents your customs agent needs – typically the commercial invoice, a packing list, the transport document and the commodity code for each product.
Cleared on arrival
We coordinate the customs clearance of your bulk shipment with our customs partners, who can lodge the import declaration on your behalf as your customs agent. Your goods are then checked at receiving and registered by barcode in our warehouse management system.
Connect your store
Shopify connects through a ready-made integration: orders come in automatically, stock levels sync back and tracking is pushed back to your store. Other platforms and marketplaces connect via API.
We pick, pack & ship
DTC orders are picked, checked and packed the same day; B2B orders leave by carton or pallet. Returns come back to the same warehouse, where we receive and inspect them and restock what can be sold again.
What does a 3PL in Europe do for your brand?
Warehousing on pallet and shelf locations, pick & pack, kitting, returns and quality checks – in one warehouse and one system, with a dedicated contact person who works in English on Central European Time.

What is IOSS – and do I still need it?
IOSS is an optional EU VAT scheme for low-value parcels (up to €150) shipped directly to EU consumers from outside the EU. Once your stock has been imported in bulk and cleared through customs in Sweden before it is sold, the orders you ship from it are not imports, so IOSS does not apply – and neither does the temporary flat customs duty that low-value parcels sent directly to EU consumers from outside the EU have paid since 1 July 2026. One condition: it has to be genuine stock. Goods already sold to individual customers before they are imported are treated as distance sales.
Who handles customs when I ship inventory to Sweden?
We coordinate the clearance of your bulk shipment with our customs partners, who can lodge the import declaration on your behalf as your customs agent – a business based outside the EU generally can't be the declarant itself. You provide the commercial invoice, packing list, transport document and the commodity code for each product; the agent tells you whether your setup needs your own EORI number.
How long does it take from container to first order?
It depends on the size of your catalog, which integrations you use and when your bulk shipment clears customs. Shopify is a ready-made integration, so we can connect your store during onboarding, before your goods arrive. When they arrive, we receive them and register every item by barcode, and your orders ship from that stock.
Is there a minimum order volume?
No hard minimum. We work with everyone from launch-stage DTC brands to established wholesalers, and we will be honest about whether we are the right fit for your volumes.
Which countries can you ship to?
Every EU member state from one inventory, with no customs on the way. Great Britain, Norway and Switzerland can be served from the same stock too – they are outside the EU customs union, so those shipments go through customs.
