3PL services in Sweden for international brands.
Primepack is a 3PL in Gothenburg, Sweden, for e-commerce brands based outside the EU. We warehouse your inventory on pallet and shelf locations, pick and pack DTC orders the same day and B2B orders by carton or pallet, ship them to customers across the EU, and handle kitting, returns and quality checks – all in one warehouse and one system, with one dedicated contact person.
Which 3PL services do you need?
All six services run in the same warehouse and the same WMS, so your stock, orders and returns are in one place and one contact person follows them all.

Warehousing in Sweden, near the Port of Gothenburg
Your inventory is stored on pallet and shelf locations in our warehouse in Hisings Kärra, Gothenburg – near the Port of Gothenburg, Sweden's largest port, which handles more than half of Sweden's container traffic. Every item is registered by barcode in Ongoing WMS, so you know what is in stock and where it sits.
Your stock arrives in bulk, on pallets or in a container. We coordinate the customs clearance of your bulk shipment with our customs partners, who can lodge the import declaration on your behalf as your customs agent. Then comes receiving: we count the goods against your packing list, check them for transport damage and register every SKU before it is put away. From that point you have real-time stock visibility.
Storage is billed per pallet or shelf location per month, so the cost follows the stock you actually hold – up ahead of your peak season, down again after it. See how EU fulfillment is priced.
- Pallet locations for full pallets and bulky goods
- Shelf locations for small items and fast-moving SKUs
- Customs clearance of bulk shipments coordinated with our customs partners
- Receiving: counted against your packing list and checked for damage
- Barcode registration of every SKU in Ongoing WMS
- Real-time stock visibility
Customs, VAT and product rules: what stays with your brand
Whether your brand needs its own EORI number depends on how the import is set up – your customs agent will tell you. The VAT registration is your brand's own: selling to consumers from stock in Sweden normally means a Swedish VAT registration, and brands from the US, Canada, Australia or the UK should plan for a VAT agent approved by the Swedish Tax Agency and confirm it with a tax advisor. We guide you through the setup and can put you in touch with accounting partners.
Product safety is also yours to arrange: a brand based outside the EU needs its own EU responsible person – an EU importer or an authorized representative with a written mandate – in place before the goods are shipped to the EU. Read more in EU VAT for non-EU sellers, EORI numbers and who does what, step by step.
Pick and pack in Europe for DTC and B2B orders
Orders flow from your store into our WMS through your integration. We pick, check and pack direct-to-consumer orders the same day, and pack B2B orders for retailers and distributors by carton or pallet.
Each item is scanned against its order line as it is picked, and the order is checked again before the parcel is sealed. The point is to catch a wrong item in the warehouse, not after your customer opens the box. Inserts such as leaflets or cards go into the parcel to your spec.
B2B orders for retailers and distributors are packed by carton or pallet. DTC orders are priced per order; B2B picking is charged by the hour.
- Same-day pick and pack for DTC orders
- B2B orders packed by carton or pallet
- Barcode scan of every item against the order
- Final check before the parcel is sealed
- Inserts added to your spec
- Priced per order for DTC, by the hour for B2B
Kitting, bundles and relabeling for the EU market
Some work is better done once in the warehouse than on every order. We assemble bundles and gift sets, add inserts and relabel products for the markets you sell into – so a bundle is picked as one SKU instead of several.
Packaging printed for your home market often needs adjusting for the EU. Instructions and safety information generally have to be in a language consumers can easily understand, as decided by each EU country where the product is sold – in Sweden, for example, Swedish. Consumer products from a brand based outside the EU must also show the name, postal address and electronic address of the brand's EU responsible person, on the product, its packaging, the parcel or an accompanying document. You provide the content; we apply the labels and inserts in bulk after receiving.
Bundles, multipacks and seasonal gift sets are built the same way: you send the components and a spec, we assemble the kits ahead of your launch and register each finished kit as its own SKU with its own barcode.
- Bundles and multipacks assembled as one SKU
- Gift sets and seasonal campaign kits
- Relabeling for EU market requirements
- Inserts, manuals and local-language leaflets
- Finished kits registered with their own barcode
EU shipping from Sweden – no customs inside the EU
Once your stock is cleared into the EU, orders to customers in other EU countries involve no customs: no declaration per parcel, no duty at internal borders and no import charges for your customer at the door. VAT rules still apply to each sale.
We book each parcel through our carrier network and print the label at the packing station. With Shopify, the tracking number is pushed back to the order automatically, so your customer can follow the delivery. Parcels typically take 1–2 business days to the Nordic EU countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland), 2–3 to Germany and Benelux and 3–5 to the rest of the EU.
Great Britain, Norway and Switzerland are outside the EU customs union, so orders to customers there can ship from the same stock but go through customs. B2B shipments to retailers and distributors leave by carton or pallet.
- No customs on parcels to EU customers
- Labels printed at the packing station
- Tracking pushed back to Shopify orders automatically
- Typically 1–2 business days to Sweden, Denmark and Finland
- Typically 2–3 business days to Germany and Benelux, 3–5 to the rest of the EU
- B2B shipments by carton or pallet
EU returns handling with a return address in Sweden
EU consumers who buy online generally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase without giving a reason, so returns are part of selling in Europe. With stock in Gothenburg, your EU customers send returns to an address inside the EU – not back to your home country.
When a return arrives, we receive it, inspect the item and put approved units straight back into sellable stock, ready for the next order. Items that can't be resold are kept apart, and you decide what happens to them.
DTC returns are priced per return; B2B returns are charged by the hour.
- A return address inside the EU for your EU customers
- Every return received and inspected
- Approved items restocked as sellable inventory
- Items that can't be resold kept apart for your decision
- Priced per return for DTC, by the hour for B2B
Quality control at receiving, picking and dispatch
Quality checks are built into every step of the flow, not added at the end. We check what comes in, what gets picked and what goes out – three checkpoints before a parcel leaves Gothenburg.
At receiving we count every shipment against your packing list and check it for transport damage before the stock goes live. If something is short, over or damaged, we tell you, so you can take it up with your supplier or carrier while it still matters.
During picking, each item is scanned against its order line. At dispatch, the order is checked once more before the parcel is sealed and labeled.
- Count at receiving, against your packing list
- Transport damage checked before stock goes live
- Shortages, overages and damage reported to you
- Barcode scan of every item during picking
- Final check at dispatch before the parcel is sealed
Which e-commerce platforms can you connect?
Your store sends orders to our WMS. How it connects – and what flows back to your store – depends on your platform.
Shopify
Shopify connects through a ready-made integration. Orders come in automatically, stock levels sync back to your store and tracking numbers are pushed back to each order.
Other platforms and systems
WooCommerce, Magento, Centra, marketplaces and custom systems connect via API. Tell us which platforms and channels you sell through when you ask for a quote.
How are 3PL services priced?
Storage, orders, returns and hourly work are each priced in their own unit, so your costs follow your volumes. There is no hard minimum volume, and your quote is itemized line by line.
- Storage – per pallet or shelf location per month
- DTC orders – per order
- DTC returns – per return
- B2B orders, receiving and stock counts – by the hour
Working with a Swedish 3PL from outside the EU
You get one dedicated contact person who knows your account and works in English. Our team is on Central European Time – one hour ahead of the UK and usually six hours ahead of the US East Coast, so Swedish afternoons overlap with East Coast mornings.
The honest caveat: from the US West Coast or Australia's east coast the gap is roughly 8–10 hours, with little overlap in normal office hours. And if you are still weighing where in Europe your stock should sit, compare the options before you decide.
